Samuel A. Wooley, age 74 of McQueeney, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 9 with loving family beside him.
Sam was born in Kermit, Texas on November 3, 1949, to parents Patrick Wooley and Milly Gallas Wooley.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janie, and Granddaughter Kylie.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Helen Ann Mycue; son Sam McGregor and wife Crissi; grandchildren Hannah, Bane and Kinlie: numerous cousins; the very special family of Mrs. Edna Satterwhite and many, many friends.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas in 1968. He also attended Texas Tech University for a short period.
Sam was a master electrician who shared his knowledge and talents with his wife, who worked by his side in their electrical business. They resided in Austin and retired in McQueeney.
He had a gentle way with his pets Frankie and Mac. He also had a heart of gold. Whenever he saw someone in need, he tried to help. He will be missed beyond measure.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Megan Elliot officiating.
