Samuel Philip Delgado, age 40 of Seguin passed away on July 13, 2023.  Samuel was born on June 7, 1983, in New Braunfels, Texas to Enriqueta (Morales) and Felipe Delgado.

Sam Philip Delgado was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. He moved to Seguin, Texas 22 years ago to be with his wife Michelle. He began his career as an Electrician in 2006 and he loved everything about his career.

Sam loved the Lord with all his heart.  He loved his wife and son, with all his heart and soul. They were his entire world. He loved his mom, brothers and sisters to the moon and back. Sam was such a people person; he could have a conversation with a stranger and you would have thought they knew each other for years. Sam was a man who had a heart full of love and kindness. He had such a gentle soul, always so caring. He would help anyone who needed him, without hesitation. He loved to listen to people and guide them the best he could.

He loved to joke and laugh, constantly. You were never safe from his jokes or his random texts of humor. He loved to tell stories, so many stories. He could spend hours reminiscing on all the good times in his life. Most of all, he loved hanging out with his son; they always went everywhere together. He spent every moment he could with him. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.  We may grieve here on earth but Sam is rejoicing in heaven with our Lord and his loved ones who greeted him with open arms!

Samuel was preceded in death by his father, brother, Kevin Ramos, grandmothers, Delia Gallegos and Rebecca Delgado, grandfather, Fortunato Morales, and great-grandmother, Irene Reyes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Michelle Shields; son, Samuel Shawn Delgado; mother, Enriqueta Delgado; sisters, Darlene Garza and husband Steve, and Rhianna Juarez; brother, Justin Delgado and wife Sarah; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.

Visitation will begin on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Darren Billiot officiating.  Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.  Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Delgado, Elijah Delgado, Vanessa Ortiz, Gabriel Ortiz, Christian Waldrop, Jake Waldrop, Louis Ortiz, Mike Sanchez, Angie Luna, Jose Guerrero, Alex Ramirez.
