The Bible says "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4) We mourn because we have lost a great, Godly man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. But we rejoice in knowing where he is going, to be with our Savior in Heaven.
Sam is survived by his loving wife Joyce, his two children, Marky, (husband Tim Kress), Clay, (wife Kelly Haskett), son-in-law Mike Van Dries and his sister, Merry Tehas. Sam had seven grandchildren, Michael Logan Van Dries, (wife Lauren.) Austin Van Dries, (wife Britney), Kailey Gaytan, (husband Cesar), Cassidy Haskett, Danielle Connelly, (husband Gregg), Austin Kress and Julia Kress, and five great grandchildren, Bentley, Madelynn and Avery Van Dries and Greyson and Quinn Connolly.
