Samuel Henry Martinez, age 56 of Seguin, passed away on May 6, 2010. Visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. for the Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery. Sam was born on August 30, 1953 in Seguin, Texas to Rudolfo Sr. and Tomasa Camarillo Martinez. His father and brother, Rudolfo Martinez, Jr. preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Diana Martinez; children, Amy Priestly and husband, Gerald, Michael Phillip Martinez and Samantha McIntyre and husband, John; mother, Tomasa "Tommie" Martinez; grandchildren, Belle Marie Martinez and D'yanna Marie Priestly; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Avila, Rudy Martinez III, Martin Magana, Refugio Navarro III, Emil Zawatski Jr. and Ray Longoria.
