Sandra (Sandy) Jean Oakley, age 52 of Seguin, passed away on May 27, 2010. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. A public memorial service celebrating her life will follow, Tuesday June 1, 2010 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Seguin with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Sandy was born on May 4, 1958 in Canyon, Texas to Harold Dean and Edna Lucille Dale Bier. She graduated from Seguin High School in 1976 and was a graduate of Texas Lutheran University. She taught school in the Nixon-Smiley School District for 20 years. She loved art, especially drawing. She will be remembered as a loving wife and wonderful, caring mother. Survivors include her loving husband of 25 years Tracy Oakley; sons, Austin, Wyatt and Ian Oakley; parents, Harold Dean and Lucille Bier; sisters, Deana Lynn Schepp and Sue Ann Hutchins and husband Jimmy; mother-in-law, Jo Carroll and husband Jim; brothers-in-law, Bob Oakley and wife Alicia, Jim Oakley and wife Sandy and Todd Oakley; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
