Sandra "Sandy" Sharp Neal, age 74 of Seguin, passed away on November 17, 2015. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside Services will be on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 9 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A memorial service celebrating her life will be on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Sandy was born on July 11, 1941 in Corpus Christi, TX to Lorne Joos and Golda (Cox) Joos Myers. She was a graduate of William & Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia. Sandy held a variety of jobs, including serving as a hostess in Williamsburg, an auditor for the IRS, then later as a tax preparer with Jackson Hewitt here in Seguin. Her favorite and most rewarding job was that of mother and wife. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, and a member of the Auxiliary Gideon's International. Sandy was also very athletic; she loved to dance and was an avid and accomplished tennis and pickleball player. Sandy is preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years, Col. James C. Sharp, USAF (ret.), and her father. She is survived by her loving husband Sam Neal; children Chris Sharp and wife Ann Marie, Bryan Sharp and domestic partner Monica Chester, Tamaron Nicklas and husband Larry, Bucky Sharp and wife Jessica; stepdaughter Amy Howe and husband Thomas; grandchildren Alexandra Sharp, Jack Sharp, Cori Nicklas, Jimmy Nicklas and wife Jasmine, Tom Nicklas, Luke Nicklas, Drew Howe, Jenna Howe; mother Golda Myers; as well as other loving family members and many friends.
