Santos N. Castillo, age 86 of Seguin, passed away on February 19, 2011. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday February 23, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. for the mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Santos was born on a farm near Pearsall, Texas on November 1, 1924 to Isabel and Andrea Garcia Nino. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan R. Castillo, her parents and her brother Pilar Niño. Survivors include her children, Janie A. Leos, Juan Castillo, Jr., James "Jimmy" Castillo (Gabriela) and Irene E. Castillo-Rivera (David); brother, Benny Niño (Pauline); 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Santos will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished time spent with her entire family and was the "Rock" of her family. The family would like to thank Angie Juarez for her devoted and unconditional loving care of our mother. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Castillo, Jr., Anthony Castillo, Jason Castillo, Juan Castillo, III, Marcos Castillo and David Isaias Rivera.
