Sharen Gay Carley, age 67, of Seguin, Texas passed away on November 13, 2023. Sharen was born in Seguin on January 30, 1956, to Ruth (Stapper) and Thomas Alvin Coor.

Sharen worked at the Koennecke Accounting Firm, SMI, USAA, CMC, the Food Pantry, and the Texas Lutheran University Development Office.

Sharen was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Bob and Evelyn Carley, and her brother-in-law Brian Ploetz.

She is survived by her husband Jeff Carley; her sister, Karen Ploetz; sons, Chase Carley and wife Jacqueline, and Casey Carley and friend Heather Freeman; grandson, Ethan Carley;  niece Jordan Ploetz and husband Nick Stubblefield; great-niece and great-nephew, Tenley and Landon Stubblefield; brothers-in-law, Scott Carley and wife Betty, Spencer Carley and wife Jami, Stuart Carley and wife Mary Beth; nieces, Ashlee Carley, Cyndal Crandel and husband Caleb and children Rustin and Landon; nephew, Dakota Carley; uncle, Harold Coor; numerous other loving family members and many friends.

A memorial service celebrating Sharen's life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Friedens Church with the Rev. Sonja Phillips and the Rev. Dave Phillips officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
