Sheri Hayes

Sheri Lorraine Hayes, age 66, of McQueeney, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2026. Sheri was born on August 18, 1959, in Westminster, California, to Aletha "Darlene" (Phillips) and Franklin LaVerne Shockey.

Sheri lived a life filled with love, dedication, and meaningful connections. She was a devoted Nebraska Huskers fan and cherished spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Aletha Darlene (Phillips) and Franklin LaVerne Shockey; as well as her brother, Franklin LaVerne Shockey Jr.

Survived by her loving husband, Darrell Aaron Hayes; children, Joshua Charles Hayes and Nicole Darlene Hayes; sister, Carole Lynn Ashworth and partner Bruce Kronberger; as well as a nephew Christopher Ashworth, extended family members, and a host of friends.

Private services will be held at a later date.
