Dr. Sidney Oliver Brandenberger, Sr., DDS, age 93 of Seguin, passed away on January 12, 2011. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Rev. Steve Purdy and Rev. Linda Montgomery officiating. Dr. Brandenberger was born on December 20, 1917 in San Antonio, Texas to Daniel J. and Emma Buehrer Brandenberger. He was a graduate of Seguin High School, University of Texas at Austin and Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He served briefly on active duty in the United States Air Force in 1955. Dr. Brandenberger proudly served Seguin and Guadalupe County as a dentist for 40 years. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Seguin and was an avid golfer and hunter. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Florence Delafield Brandenberger, his son Sidney (Sid) Brandenberger, Jr., his grandson, Dale Aaron Brandenberger and his brothers, Roy and Victor Brandenberger. Survivors include his son, Barry M. Brandenberger and wife Pearlene; grandson, Max Brandenberger and wife Angela; great-granddaughter, Lee Brandenberger; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
