Obituary

Sinton R. Lampman, age 86 of Marion, passed away on February 9, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011, 4:30 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 2:00 p. m. at Redeemer United Church of Christ in Zuehl with Rev. Lee Zillmann officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Redeemer United Church of Christ Cemetery in Zuehl. Sinton was born on September 22, 1924 in Guadalupe County, Texas to Roy and Linda Haecker Lampman. He proudly served in the United States Army 599th Postal Unit during World War II. He was a lifetime member of Redeemer United Church of Christ, and served on the Church Council and Cemetery Committee for numerous years. He also served his church as Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher. He belonged to the National Association of Retired Employees having served 36 years with the United States Postal Service. He worked for 10 years at USAA. Sinton enjoyed bowling and was a lifetime member of both the Bexar and Germania Bowling Clubs. He will be remembered as the "Community Lawn Mower." He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Lampman. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Helen Lampman; children, Russell Lampman and wife Laurie Doyal Lampman, Warren Lampman and wife Gail, and Becky Reinhard and husband Russell Reinhard; grandchildren, Adam Lampman and wife Heather, Dalton Lampman, Roderick Reinhard, Randall Reinhard, Brianna Reinhard, Jacob Lampman and Aaron Lampman; great grandchild, Savannah Lampman; brothers, Clifton Lampman and wife Ruth and Payton Lampman and wife Martha; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elfrieda Beyer, Marie Stacey, Helen Luensmann, Richard Luensmann and wife Laverne, Benno Luensmann and wife Shirley, Evelyn Klein, Lillian Strey and husband Willie and Otto Luensmann, Jr. and wife Lorraine; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren and his nephew, Horace Luensmann. Memorial contributions may be made to Reedemer United Church of Christ in Zuehl at 7415 Gin Road, Marion, Texas 78124.
