SSG Elzy Floyd Chamness, USA (Ret.), age 82 of Seguin, passed away on April 30, 2022.  Elzy was born on September 20, 1939 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Mary E. (Lawrence) and Lem Chamness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife Rooji Chamness; children, Ruth Ann Sauceda, Verlinda Carol Holt, Patsy "Angel" Kneeland, Floyd Chamniss and wife Karleen, Sandra Hanning, Jessica Hoover and husband Mark, Carol Ann Roberts and husband Jason, Malinda Chamness and Floyd Evans Chamness; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, several siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
