Stephen Claiborn Rector, age 55 of Staples, passed away on November 6, 2010 in his home. Steve's life will be celebrated with private services. Stephen was born on August 31, 1955 in San Antonio,Texas to Robert and Jeanne Dibrell Rector. He was a graduate of Seguin High School class of 1973. Proud graduate of Southwest Texas University he will be remembered for his friendship, love for his family, his faith, and his love of music. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Robert Rector Jr. and his mother, Jeanne Dibrell Rector. He is survived by his children Jeremy Rector, Mark and Jenny McConkey, Joel and Sarah Rector, and James Rector, his grandchildren Helena and Jude McConkey, siblings, Pent and Brenda Rector and Willo Laurel, his best friend and the mother of his children Monte Rector, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
