Steven "Steve" Roy Conn, age 74, of Seguin, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. Born on March 11, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of Jimmie Joyce (Sanderson) and Roy Conn.

Steve was born in San Antonio and was known for his love of life, his relentless devotion to his friends and family, and his uncanny ability to ease even the tensest situations with his unique sense of humor.  A proud alumnus of Sam Houston High School, Southwest Texas, and Trinity University, Steve loved to hold court, help others, and use laughter to make people feel better.  He met the love of his life, Linda, in 1972, and the two were inseparable from the moment that they met.  Together, they impacted countless lives with their love, friendship, and charity.  And his dedication to his children was without compare.  Steve bought the best possible flute for Lindsay, found the best possible tennis training for Morgan, restored a classic Mustang with Travis, and personally coached as many childhood sports teams on which his children played as possible.  Even after all his children graduated high school, Steve continued to support local athletics, made tremendous donations to numerous charities, and always made sure to stand up for the "little guy."

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Cheryl Henzen and her husband James, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Doris and Joseph "J.H." Baker, and his brother-in-law Gary Baker.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 52 years, Linda; his daughters Morgan and Lindsay Conn Simon and her husband Lawrence; his son Travis Roy Conn and his wife Lee; and his cherished grandchildren Elijah, Ally, and Lily. Steve is also survived by his sister-in-law Joyce Baker Houston and her husband Al; his niece Karen Henzen Cunningham and her husband Ron; great-nephews Hunter Cunningham and Luke Cunningham; as well as numerous cousins, family members, and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel, with the Reverend Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in New Berlin.

Pallbearers will include Travis Conn, Elijah Walker, Lawrence Simon, Kevin Koepp, Matthew Allen, Richard Malphrus, Josh Bertolacci, Ben Estes, Ryan Frazier, and Kyle Bubela. Honorary pallbearers will include Ron Cunningham, David Burgess, Wayne Hellman, Donny Van Zandt, and Charles Slaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-9959, or to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, New York, 10306.
