Obituary

Susan Urbanek Bohnenberger, age 54 of Seguin, passed away on July 21, 2008. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 10:30 am at St. James Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Louis Marx officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date. Susan Gail was born on May 3, 1954 in Ballinger, Texas to William F. and Elizabeth Halfmann Urbanek. She was raised in Rowena, Texas and graduated from St. Josephs Catholic School in 1972. Susan served as the district youth director for SPJST in San Angelo, and Lodge #185 in New Braunfels. In 1986, Susan and her husband moved from San Angelo to Seguin. There, they owned and have operated Altex Landscape Construction, Inc. In addition to Susan's great love for her family and friends, one of her greatest joys was traveling to the Davis Mountains and watching the birds, wildlife, and beautiful night sky. She was also very talented at making jewelry, and loved reading, doing puzzles, and playing bunko. Susan's parents precede her in death. Survivors include: husband, Glenn Bohnenberger; children, Stacey Branham and wife, Anne Marie, Whtiney Bohnenberger, and Mark Bohnenberger and wife, Lana; sisters, Barbara Frenzel and husband, Bob and Beatrice Gregory and husband, Ricky; brother, David Urbanek and wife Linda; grandchildren, Lea and Kalie Bohnenberger; also, Richard and Grace Bohnenberger, her father and mother-in-law, and Donna Bohnenberger, her sister-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 507 S. Camp, Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to Guadalupe Regional Hospice, 1215 East Court Street, Seguin, Texas, 78155.
