Sylvia Estephana Carter, age 72 of Seguin, passed away on November 19, 2010. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Rosary will be recited on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will be private at a later date. Sylvia was born on September 2, 1938 in San Benito Texas to Alfredo, Sr. and Natalia Esparza Trevino. She is preceded in death by her son Joseph Bagby, parents, and her siblings, Ana Maria Trevino, Arnold Trevino and Porfirio "Pete" Trevino. Survivors include her loving husband Ron Carter; sons, Dalton M. Bagby, Todd M. Bagby and Warren J. (Caroline) Carter; daughters, Brenda E. (Gerald) Flowers, Demetra E. (Peter) Koelling, Lisa E. Bagby (Raymond) Wright and Trisha L. (Andrew) Hasbrouck; siblings, Alfredo (Celia) Trevino, Patricia Powers, Irene T. (Hector) Cantu, Cesar (Arcelia) Trevino, Jorge "George" (Margo) Trevino, Natalia "Nellie" Trevino, Mary Jane (Luis) Magana, Arnold (Merlina) Trevino, Orlando Carlos Trevino; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sylvia had a deep love for her family and was a dedicated and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She had a strong zeal for life and loved painting, sewing, arts and crafts, and dancing. She was an inspiration throughout her life and brought smiles to the faces of all who were fortunate enough to meet her. She was a graduate of San Benito High School and Mc Murry University in Abilene Texas where she received her BA in Business Administration. She worked for years at the Social Security Office and finished out her career working at the Seguin ISD Central Office. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 510 S.
