Obituary
T. C. Moore, age 91 of Union Valley, passed away on March 15, 2017.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kathy Moore and Rev. Frankie Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in the Nixon Cemetery.
T. C. was born on October 4, 1925 in Pandora, Texas to Jake Joe and Alla Pearl (Spear) Moore.
T. C. proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
He will be remembered as the general manager of Holmes Foods in Nixon for many years.
He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas C. Moore, Jr., his parents and his siblings, Lula Valeria Sullivan, Nannie Pearl McCoy, Frances Louise Benton, Virgil Joe Moore, Maudra Alice Smith, Myrtie Pauline Johnston, Mary Jo Moore, Dorothy Cameron and an infant brother.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Bertha Moore; son, Mike Moore and wife Janis; daughter, Rev. Kathy Moore; granddaughters, Tiffany Washington and husband Jeff, and Bridget Slyker and husband Richard; great-grandchildren, John, Elizabeth, Nathan, and Sophie Washington, and Carter, Susannah and William Slyker; sister, Georgia Ruth Milner; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Van Gundy, Darrell Smith,
V. J. Moore, Ed Walker, Jeff Washington, and Richard Slyker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Assembly of God, 2714 Hunters Green, San Antonio, Texas, 78231.
