Ted Hicks, age 62 of Seguin, passed away on October 13, 2013. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary at 2 p.m. followed by funeral service at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Mike Rodriguez officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Ted was born on July 29, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas to Orville Wright and Almeda Reese Hicks. He was a 1970 graduate of Edison High School in San Antonio. He was a long time employee of Capitol Cement. Currently he was employed with the Schertz – Cibolo – Universal City Independent School District. He loved to barbeque and fish, especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marilyn Taylor. Survivors include his daughter Amy Thomas and husband Terry; son Ted J. Hicks; sister, Peggy Spytek and husband Lou; grandchildren, Courven Thomas, Tearanei Thomas, Skye Thomas, Auborii Thomas, Arianna Hicks and Elijah Hicks; great grandchildren, D.
