Texas John "T. J." Herbold, age 85 of Seguin, passed away on March 27, 2022.  T. J. was born on February 4, 1937 in Seguin, Texas to Ossie Myrtle (Talley) and Hugo Ernst Gus Herbold.

He is preceded in death by his son, Roger Herbold, grandson, John Derick Herbold, his parents, and his siblings Hugh Herbold and wife Barbara, Myrtle Krause and husband Willie, Mary Schneider and husband Bennie and Alvin Herbold.

Survivors include his children, John Herbold and wife Leah, Tami Herbold and husband William Newberg; grandchildren Kristen Jahns and husband Clint, Jayden Herbold, Anthony Herbold, Jessi Herbold, and Chris Herbold; great-grandchildren, Derick, Kendall, Kaison, Caiden, Marley, Charlee, Harlie, Amira and Liam; and brothers Darvin Herbold and wife Kay, Hugo Herbold, Jr. and wife Arlene, and James Herbold and wife Katy; sister-in-law, Sylvia Herbold; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel.  Graveside services and interment will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Price officiating.  Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Jahns, William Newberg, Derick Herbold, Anthony Herbold, Jayden Herbold. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be John Herbold.
