Thomas (Tommy) Edward Eckols, III, age 73 of Seguin, passed away on July 19, 2008. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7p.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Tommy was born on April 22, 1935 to Thomas Edward, Jr. and Alta Jackson Eckols. He graduated from Seguin High School in 1954 and served in the United States Navy. He was a barber and a Continental Airlines Pilot. He loved his family and spending special time with them on the house boat in Baffin Bay. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lorraine Eckols; sons, Thomas Edward Eckols, IV and wife Angelina, Mitch Eckols and wife Kenda, Scott Eckols and partner, Suzanne McGhee; brother, John Paul Eckols and wife, Betty Jean; grandchildren, Austin Eckols, Colt Eckols and wife Meghen, Taylin Eckols and Janzen Eckols; great-granddaughter, Reiley Eckols; aunts, Mozelle Spleen and Elizabeth Jackson; father-in-law, Robert Felsing; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Delores Brawner and husband, Ed, Wallace Felsing and wife, Al, Marlene Reininger and husband, James and John Felsing and wife, Sandy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tommy's nephews, Clay and Mike Brawner, Rusty and Craig Reininger, Jeff Felsing, Jimmy Bell and Rustin and Michael Felsing.
