On November 8, 2016 Thomas C Jackson passed away in his sleep after a protracted illness associated with several strokes. At the time of his death he was residing at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center in Seguin. As he requested, Tom was cremated and his ashes were buried with those of his dear wife, Glenda, in Illinois.
Tom, 86, was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Fred W. Jackson and Lucille Josephine Rodrigue. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur and joined the Army shortly thereafter. After serving his country he used the G.I. Bill to obtain his degree in liberal arts from San Diego State University. A favorite area of study was the law. Tom attended law school for several years (as a part time student) while employed. After graduation he worked in the aerospace industry rising eventually to Director of Contract Negotiations.
He met and married Glenda Survillas in 1991. Tom and Glenda moved from California to retire and live in New Braunfels,Texas. During the next 25 years, Tom was able to spend time with his family in Texas, as well as travel back to California to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Tom was loved by many people and will be missed. We are relieved that he is no longer suffering and is with our God and Savior. He asked that when he "went to Heaven" we would celebrate his life with a party. He suffered so much that he wanted us to rejoice in knowing that he had moved onto a better place. A special memorial party to celebrate Tom's life will be held in January.
