Timothy Gene "Tim" Holt, age 62 of Kingsbury, passed away on October 1, 2021.  Tim was born on February 8, 1959 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Billie Mae (Booth) and Gene Ibra Holt.  He was the 2 ^nd of 3 children.

Tim graduated from Ardmore high school in 1977 and went on to Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas where he wrestled and played football. He attained his master's degree in Exercise Physiology and pursued his calling of becoming a coach. Tim met Gwen while coaching in Colorado.  They were married in 1988, moved to Alice, Tx and went on to have 4 beautiful children, Cortnee 31, Chayson 30, Cayleb 28 and Caysi 26.

Tim was an athletic director and a head football coach for 36 years. He had many achievements including two-time South Texas Coach of the Year, two state championships, 26 seasons in the state playoffs, and eight-time district coach of the year. He was also inducted to the Rose State College hall of fame. Professional achievements aside, he prided himself in building genuine relationships that impacted many lives. Tim's number one philosophy was, "Put God first; everything else will fall in line." Hobbies include traveling, fishing, story-telling, hunting, and spending time with his family-especially his 5 amazing grandbabies who know him as their "Bear".

He is preceded in death by his parents Billie and Gene Holt and father-in-law James R. Ellis.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Gwen L. Holt; children, Cortnee of San Diego CA, Chayson of Houston, TX, Cayleb of Ben Bolt, TX and Caysi of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Kyson, Beau, Gatlin, Landon, and Laynee; siblings: brother Dearl (Jackie); sister Rhonda (David); mother-in-law Myrna Ellis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.

A funeral service celebrating Tim's life will be held at The Red Barn on 390 Cordova Rd. in Seguin, Texas on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:30pm with the Rev. Chris Irving and Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date.  Serving as pallbearers will be Gordon Ellis, Garro Ellis, Casey Babbitt, Bo White, Danny Nall, Rod Blount, Lonnie Taylor, and Pat James .
