Travis Charles Moores, age 38 of McQueeney, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2024. Travis was born on January 5, 1986 in Longview, Texas to Cathy Lou (Lepley) and Travis Glenn Moores.
Travis was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, animal lover, entrepreneur and business owner. He was an honorable Eagle Scout and hard worker. His hard work and drive are what led to him graduating from Karnes City High School in 2004, and then later receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Houston at Clearlake. Travis, also known as T.C. to those closest to him, was always inventing and creating new business ideas. He was a proud owner of Storm Ventures that he built from the ground up and began growing his name in commercial real estate. He was a generous man to his family and to those around him. He regularly contributed to the Tunnels to Towers organization, helping first responders and their families in times of tragedy. He was a helper to the local church and those in need. Travis was a strong, bold man that loved fiercely. He was good at taking care of things and people. Whether it be his family, animals, business or his staff, he always took care of those around him. He was a strong man who will be strongly missed.
Survivors include his parents, Cathy and Travis Moores; sisters, Cheryl Moores Laird and husband Edwin Charles Laird, and Christi Pierce; niece, Mackenzie Diaz and husband GianCarlo Diaz; nephew, Kellen Hogan and wife, Camila Rivarola; several other loving family members and a host of friends.
A gathering celebrating Travis' life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Storm Towing, 4235 FM 78, McQueeney, Texas 78123.
