Truman Furlong, age 86 of Seguin, passed away on September 15, 2012. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Nixon Cemetery with Rev. Terry King officiating. Truman was born on December 3, 1925 to Clarence Ernest and Alma Smith Furlong. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Gloria Furlong Mendenhall, brother, Kenneth Ray Furlong and grandson Casey Brown; Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Allie Furlong; children, Tim Furlong; Richard Furlong and wife Alberta and Patti King and husband Terry; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Helen Franklin, Thelma "Pat" Fox and Velma "Midge" Crisp; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services, 1215 E. Court St. or to the charity of one's choice.
