TSGT Larry D. Merilatt, USAF (Ret.), age 79 of Seguin, passed away on May 23, 2016. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Country Church in Marion with Pastor Butch Ikels officiating and military honors rendered by the United States Air Force. Private interment will take place at a later date. Larry was born on August 18, 1936 in Fort Leavenworth Kansas to Dean Sterling and Binita Elizabeth (Spindler) Merilatt. He is preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Betty Merilatt. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Jane Merilatt; son, Ron Smith and wife Renae; granddaughter, Felicia Spadoni and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Evan and Alice Spadoni; sister, Sandra Kay Haugen; brothers, Randy Merilatt and Danny Merilatt; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
