Obituary

Velma Moltz Reinhard Schwenn, age 84 of Marion, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on September 4, 2012. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p. m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jim Witschorke officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. A reception will follow at St. John Lutheran Fellowship Hall, 606 S. Center (Hwy. 465), Marion, Texas. Velma was born on October 31, 1927 in Guadalupe County, Texas to Lee and Adela Zunker Moltz. On July 16, 1945 she married Randy Reinhard who passed away in 1989. She later married Leroy Schwenn on July 2, 2000. Velma will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Oma, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved watching wildlife and hunting. She will be remembered as a very organized, smart businesswoman, and loved her bookkeeping. She worked hard both indoors and outdoors. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, birds of all kinds, especially road runners, playing rummy and dominoes, and eating out with family. She is preceded in death by her husband Randolph (Randy) Reinhard, her parents and her brothers, Herman Moltz and Edward Moltz. Survivors include her loving husband, Leroy Schwenn; son, Russell Reinhard and wife Becky; daughter, Connie Hester and husband Russell; grandchildren, Roderick Reinhard and fiancée Chelsea Vincent; Randall Reinhard, Brianna Reinhard, Jordan Hester and Rustin Hester; sisters, Lillian Kauffman and husband Joe, Myrtle Staats, Ebbie Wahl, and Zula Irby and husband Clinton; step-children, Lee Schwenn and wife Celia, Doris Ann Ashby, Michael Schwenn and wife Jackie, and Bryan Schwenn; several step-grandchildren; many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends. In the words of one of Velma's favorite hymns, let us go "On Our Way Rejoicing". Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 68, Marion, Texas, 78124.
