Verlaine Jane Penshorn Bright, age 89 of Universal City, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2020. Verlaine was born on January 16, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to Linda (Brietzke) and Ernst Penshorn. She was employed with the United States Government in Civil Service from 1964 to 1984. Wherever she lived, Verlaine joined and attended the Baptist Church where she was blessed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed 9 and 10 pin bowling. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeryl T. Bright, her granddaughter, Tessa Christiansen, her parents and her former husband, Payton Lampman. Survivors include her children, Richard Lampman and wife Sylvia, Beverly Falor and Bob McKinney and wife Tina; grandchildren, Clayton Lampman, Jessi Nichols and husband Travis, Colten McKinney and Christopher Christiansen and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren, Liam, Kinsey and Briley; other loving family members and friends. Private graveside services for the immediate family will be held at a later date at the Redeemer United Church Cemetery in Zuehl, Texas with the Rev. Lee Zillmann officiating.
