Vernell A. Crosnoe, age 88 of New Braunfels, formerly of Seguin, passed away on November 7, 2017. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Cross Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Vernell was born on July 11, 1929 in Guadalupe County Texas to Alfred and Lena (Zunker) Vader. She attended the Marion Schools and graduated in 1946 where she was valedictorian of her class. She worked at Parkers Jewelers for 20 years where she served as bookkeeper, credit manager and engraver. When the store closed she did home health for 19 years and did alterations for the public including 2 cleaners. Vernell was a faithful member of Cross Church in Seguin for over 60 years, a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Geronimo and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Seguin. Vernell was preceded in death by her parents, son, Orville Koepp, Jr., her husbands, Fred Beutnagel, and J. D. Crosnoe, and her brothers, Melvin and Marvin Vader and sister, Dorothy Bading. Survivors include her sons Roger Koepp and wife Sandy, and Douglas Koepp and wife Bobbie. Five grandchildren, Tina Carroll, Jason Koepp and wife Elizabeth, Amber Hoberg and husband Brian, and Justin Koepp and Derek Koepp; eleven great-grandchildren, Randi Carroll-Williams and husband Jason, Kassi Carroll and fiancé Justin, Jessi Perry and husband Will, Brandon, Jonas, Lucy, and Sophie Koepp, Aubrey, Brynleigh, Cambree and Drew Hoberg; five great-great grandchildren, Cameron and Carter Carroll, Liam and Maci Perry, and Sydney Carroll; four nephews, one niece and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Vader. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Vader, Morris Vader, Keith Vader, Gary Vader, Wesley Springfield, Will Perry, Colton Vader and William Vader. Honorary pallbearer will be Marla Cockerham.
