Vernon A. Hahn, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on May 5, 2016. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Church with Rev. Mike Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Vernon was born on February 2, 1935 in Westhoff Texas to Ward Alfred and Maudie Mae (Smalley) Hahn. He began his career in the poultry industry at Reneau Brothers and worked there for many years. Vernon enjoyed hunting and fishing and working in his yard, however, his most precious time was spent with his family and most recently playing with his great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Vernon Darryl Hahn, his parents and his siblings, Wilton Hahn, Elner Smith, Lorena Hahn, Lee Hahn, and Margie Dubose. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Nelda Hahn; daughters, Cheryl Hahn McLean, and Sheila Hahn Hoffmann and husband Larry; granddaughters, Christie Hurt and husband Nathan, and Casey Cuellar; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brynlee Hurt, and Landon Cuellar; Larry's children, Matt Hoffmann and wife Andrea and their son Holden, and Kelly Hoffmann and fiancé Eric Garcia; sister, Vernell Crozier; brothers, Marlon Hahn and Billy Hahn; aunt, Ida Pirkle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Hoffmann, Nathan Hurt, Brayden Hurt, Jose Carrillo, Larry Crozier, John Haskins, David Glenewinkle, Bobby Beautnagel, and Kevin Pirkle. Honorary pallbearers will be Landon Case Cuellar and Brynlee Cate Hurt. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Church, P. O.
