Vernon Herbert Hellmann, age 69 of Seguin, passed away on July 18, 2008 . Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Jeremy Roy officiating. Interment will follow in Stapper Cemetery. Vernon was born on April 16, 1939 in Guadalupe County, Texas to Irvin Antonio and Lonie Marie Clarner Hellmann. He served in the United States Army. He was a devoted father, son, and brother. His presence will be missed, but not forgotten. His parents precede him in death. Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Burger and husband, Eric and Denise Belter and husband, Bryon; other children include, Henry Meza, Daniel Meza and wife, Victoria, Michael Meza and Ann Madison and husband Calvin; brother, Irvin Hellmann, Jr. and wife, Debbie; sister, Evelyn Tschoepe and husband Edmund; grandchildren, Lonie and Marlee Burger, Sydney Belter, Daniel, Jr., Candace and Logan Meza and Calvin Madison, III; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be William Tschoepe, John Tschoepe, Dennis Hellmann, Steve Bone, Bill Lichte and Don Tondry.
