Virginia Heath Mitchell, 92, died on Palm Sunday, April 17 in Seguin. She is survived by six step-children. She was "Gini" to Jeanne Palmer of Seguin, Patty Hoerig of Elgin and Judy Beauford of Boerne and "Mom" for varying lengths of time to Willis Mitchell of Angleton, Denise Bolin (deceased) of Lewisville, Bill Mitchell of Cameron and Chuck Mitchell of San Diego, California. She was Grandma Gini to twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Ginny Belle Chandler of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband of 42 years, Charles W. Mitchell pre-deceased her in 2003. Virginia was a life-long Episcopalian and a member for the last years of Christ Our King Anglican Church of New Braunfels. She was a retired civilian employee of the Air Force including station in post-war Japan. She was a member of the church Altar Guild and of the Daughters of the King. It is her request that memorials be given to Christ Our King Anglican Church, to animal groups or the donor's choice. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, at the Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston at 11:30 a.m. The officiate will be Father Chuck Thebeau of Christ our King Anglican Church.
