Walter William Vaughn, Jr., age 88 of Seguin, passed away on August 6, 2014. Visitation will begin on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 9 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Walt was born on December 7, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Walter Wilburn, Sr. and Lola Faye (Shaver) Vaughn. Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Marceille Vaughn; daughters, Sandra Thomas and Brenda Vaughn; son, Trey Vaughn; grandchildren, Andy Thomas and wife Michelle, Greg Thomas, Jason Roberts and wife Suzann, Marci Russell and husband, Richard, and Lelon Vaughn; 6 great-grandchildren, Tristen and Gabe Thomas, Callum, Alex and Nate Roberts, and Kadence Vaughn; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, June and Joe Schwab; several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Thomas, Gabe Thomas, Greg Thomas, Yolanda Iglesias, Jason Roberts, Nick Carrillo and Valdo DeLaGarza. The family would like to thank friends, family, GRMC, Remarkable Healthcare and Hope Hospice of New Braunfels for all their love and support.
