Wanda R. Burgess, age 71 of Marion, passed away on May 13, 2012. Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Pastor James Witschorke officiating. Wanda was born on April 26, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles and Ruth Ann Townsend. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Burgess, her parents and her brother Jeff Townsend. Survivors include her children, Paula Burgess, Duke Burgess, Lisa Agin, Terry Thomas, Debra Wiegand, Charlene Gardner and Ronnie Townsend; brothers, Charles Townsend, Clyde Townsend and Richard Townsend; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous other relatives.
