Wanda Iltis, age 85 of Seguin, passed away on April 27, 2015. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert K. Odom officiating. A reception will follow. Private interment will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park at a later time. Wanda was born on August 29, 1929 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Willie and Gladys (Graves) Bills. Wanda will be remembered as one of the owners of the Seguin Convalescent Home in Seguin along with Dr. Henry Moore and Rogers Wilson. She was also the owner of Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Gonzales. Governor Preston Smith appointed Wanda to the original Board of Directors for nursing home licensure. She also served many years on the Guadalupe County MHMR Board. Ralph and Wanda attended Lifegate Church for over 30 years and were actively involved there. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Iltis, her parents, her brothers-in-law, Tony Robles and Richard Iltis. Survivors include her son, David Michael (Skip) Morgan; grandchildren, Michelle Airheart and husband Wade of Albuquerque, NM and Luke Morgan of Kuwait; great-grandchildren, Cole Airheart and Bailey Airheart; sister, Jackie Robles; loving caregiver, Josefa Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
