Wayne Lindsey, age 68 of Seguin formerly of the coastal bend area, passed away on April 13, 2010. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Seguin with Rev. Tommy Strogner officiating. Interment with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post #245 will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin. Wayne was born on January 20, 1942 in McCamey Texas to Cecil and Mildred Peoples Lindsey. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Oakville Baptist Church in Oakville, Texas. He was the former owner of the Brush N' Stuff. He served as a Police Deputy for Crane County in Crane, Texas and served as a Police Deputy for the Live Oak County Sheriff's office in George West, Texas. He was also employed by Arco Oil and Gas Company for 23 years and by B. T. Griffin Services as a safety, environmental manager for 15 years. His mother preceded him in death. Surviviors include his loving wife, Linda Lindsey; sons, Allen Lane and wife Becky, Kerry Lane and wife Cathy and Richard Lane and wife Jacque; daughters, Joylynn Lindsey Shay and Dana McGehee and husband Michael; father, Cecil Lindsey; brother, Jimmy Lindsey and wife, Billie; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Lane, Kery (K.K.) Lane, Richard Lane, Darrell Wayne Lindsey, Charles Wayne Demmer and Wood Harrod. Honorary pallbearers will be William Joe Peoples, Wesley Peoples, Kenny Dean Locke, Gary Bacon, Bill (Sonny) Murray, Pastor Tommy Strogner, Robert Mills, Bennie Smith Matthew Bridges, Kaleb Lane, Casey Lane, Taylor Lane, Tanner Lane and Jacob Lane.
