Wayne Edward Monn, 62, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Born Friday, March 27, 1964, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late David Monn and the late Betty (Miller) Monn.

Wayne was a graduate from Smithsburg High School, class of 1982. He was a member of the Moose Club and the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club. He collected and loved everything Harley, owning 8 Harley’s and two Bourget choppers. He loved his Pontiacs, especially his Pontiac LeMans.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Monn; sister, Connie Draper; brothers, Terry Monn, and Lloyd Monn; mother-in-law, Martha Jones; brother-in-law, Alex Jones and wife Yvette; nieces, Abby Steck and husband James, Sherry Willard and husband Barry; nephew, Dustin Jones and wife, Natalie; more nieces, nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dave Monn.

Wayne married the love of his life on June 22, 1991. The two met in Texas while he was on vacation. He always laughed and grinned when he stated she was his “Souvenir from Texas”. These two are true soulmates and a dynamic duo at everything. Wayne enjoyed traveling with Melissa, taking motorcycle vacations to bike events such as Ocean City, Myrtle Beach, Milwaukee, and Sturgis. They traveled together and with best friends to Alaska, Hawaii, and many other great destinations.

Wayne was very proud of his fleet of motorcycles and cars. He was meticulous and always strived for perfection. He always had the cleanest vehicles. Wayne was employed at AC&T as a Transport Driver. He has driven over a million safe miles for AC&T. He operated the shiniest and cleanest truck in the AC&T fleet. Most recently he was awarded a Governor’s Award for his assistance to Maryland Department of Environment.

Services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.

Family will receive friends at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Private graveside services and interment will be held in the Kingsbury Cemetery, in Kingsbury TX.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, Texas, 78155-1593, or to Washington County Humane Society or Frederick Health Hospital, both in Maryland.
