Wayne M. Rucker, age 78 of Seguin, passed away on June 9, 2025.  Wayne was born on March 27, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas, to Ruby (Uhl) and William Rucker.

Wayne was a 1965 graduate of Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  As an electrical contractor he owned and operated several businesses and worked for several different electrical companies.  He and Gerry enjoyed travelling throughout the United States, but some of the best times were spent on the Texas Coast.  Wayne and Gerry were active members of Grace Lutheran Church in Seguin.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Gerry "Geraldine" Brietzke Rucker; daughters, Wendy Thibeault and husband Kevin, and Christi Kelly and husband John; grandchildren, Abigail, Caitlyn and Kendall Thibeault, Paula Kelly, Patrick Kelly and wife Rachel; four great-grandchildren Kai, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Michael; sister, Sandra Smoot and husband Max; sister-in-law, Jeanette Walpole and husband Clayton; brother-in-law, Larry Brietzke and wife Kathy; several nieces and nephews, other loving family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service celebrating Wayne's life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with the Reverend Roger Hotopp officiating.   A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
