Wayne Arlen "Chug" Stackhouse, age 67 of Seguin, passed away on August 26, 2009. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Brother David Jackson officiating and under the auspices of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post #245. Wayne was born in Guadalupe County on February 13, 1942 to Wilburn Artist "Lefty"and Evelyn Grimm Stackhouse. Wayne will be remembered as the owner of the Wood Stove Center. He loved his farm and enjoyed ranching. He loved volunteering at Nesbit Nursing Home. He loved his community and helped with events at the Palace Theatre and donated many items to the Seguin Heritage Museum. He always helped with fundraisers for those in need. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. His parents precede him in death. Immediate survivors include his aunt, Babe Kunz and a large loving family and a host of friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
