Obituary

Wendy Judith Parker, age 55 of Seguin passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Wendy was born in Rochester, New York to Maureen Babachicos and Ronald E. Corron. Wendy was an amazing soul who was cherished by so many. If you met Wendy, you loved Wendy. Wendy had a way of making strangers feel like they'd known her for their entire life. She lit up every room with her smile and warm spirit.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved music, movies, and anything that included her loving family and girlfriends.

Wendy attended Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas and went on to achieve a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She also achieved a Master's Degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University. Wendy had an impressive professional career. Fresh out of high school, her unique story started in the mailroom at the Boeing Company where she went on to become Communications Manager in Houston for the Space Division and in San Antonio for the Military Aircraft Division. She spent almost 28 years with Boeing.  This was a true success story of grit and determination. She left Boeing in 2015 to become the Sr. Corporate Communications Manager for the Public Affairs Division at Zachry Construction in San Antonio, Texas.

Wendy was preceded in death by her father.

Wendy met her soulmate, Steve Parker, and they had a magical love affair for the last 15 years. Survivors include her loving husband; her sons Hayden Starr of San Antonio Texas, Gage Parker of Lubbock Texas; daughters Hannah Locklear of Tacoma, Washington and Madison Parker of Austin, Texas. Wendy was also Gigi to two grandsons Julian and Deacon Starr. She is also survived by her Mother Maureen Corron and Maureen's companion Jim Bordelon, her brother Ryan Corron and his companion Vickie Hester, her sister Catherine Carter and husband Pat Carter, and her daughter-in-law Tori Starr. She had some of the best girlfriends who were always there for her as she was for them.

A Celebration of Life Service for Wendy will be held on January 7, 2024, at the Seguin Events Complex (Coliseum) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with remarks given at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Chris Larson, the Rev. Jeremy Roy, and the Rev. A. J. Malone, Jr.
