Wiley J. (Snapper) Flint, Jr., age 89 of Seguin, went to his heavenly home to join his wife of 66 years, Berniece D. Flint and his parents, Wiley, Sr. and Jessie Mae Goolsby Flint on April 25, 2011. He is survived by daughter, Ginger Klimas and husband Dan; son, Ron Flint and wife Henny; sister, Hazel Jackson; brother-in-law, Clayton Dark and wife, Bonnie; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Snapper was born in Fort Worth ,Texas. He graduated from high school in Mexia and was a graduate of Sam Houston State University. He proudly served his country as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force during World War II. He retired as an engineer with Amoco Oil Company after working throughout the Gulf Coast and West Texas. He and Berniece spent the last twenty years enjoying retirement in Seguin. No finer man enjoyed his time on earth. His love for life, his family, and his friends is a testament to what a truly wonderful man he was. He enriched the lives of all he met and his altruism and spirit will live on forever. A celebration of Snapper's life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Tres Hewell Mortuary in Seguin with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. O. Box 1593, Seguin, Texas, 78155-1593.
