William James "Bill" Vordenbaum, age 50 of Austin, formerly of Seguin, passed away on December 30, 2015 due to complications from lupus and diabetes. A memorial visitation will begin on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert K. Odom officiating. Private interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery at a later date. Bill was born on September 23, 1965 in Seguin, Texas to James A. "Jim" Vordenbaum and Grace Wiederaenders Ohlenbusch. His father precedes him in death. Survivors include his mother Grace Ohlenbusch and husband John; brother, Eric Vordenbaum and wife Brenda; nieces, Maddie McConnell and husband Stephen and Claire Vordenbaum; nephew, Kurt Vordenbaum; great-nephews, Sam and Caleb McConnell and great niece, Olivia McConnell; aunts, Carla Anderson and Helen Drake Anderson and husband, LuVerne; numerous cousins and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elfrieda and Arthur Wiederaenders Scholarship Fund (Bill's grandparents) at Texas Lutheran University, Development Office, 1000 West Court Street, Seguin, Texas, 78155-9989 or to the charity of one's choice.
