William "Bill" Leonard Kuntzman, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on August 13, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 1 p.m. with Pastor Butch Ikels officiating. Bill was born on May 21, 1926 in Carlinville, IL to William L. and Elizabeth (Dietrich) Kuntzman. Bill served his country in the United States Navy. Upon his discharge, he attended college first at Blackburn College in Carlinville, receiving a B.S. in Chemistry, and then went on to obtain his Master Degree at Washington University in St. Louis. He met Glenna, the love of his life, in 1964, and took her on an airplane ride as the pilot on their first date. They married on his birthday in 1964, spending the next 51 years together. After retiring from Dowell Chemical, Bill took up snow skiing, hot air ballooning, and selling RV's. It was at this time that he and Glenna made the move to Texas. Bill is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife Glenna; daughters, Mardie Ellington, Linda Palmer and husband David, son Jeff Knobeloch and wife Sally; grandchildren Chad Earl, Elizabeth Knobeloch-Moench and husband Charlie, Jessica Ellington-Gangle and husband Evan, Matthew Ellington; 5 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Gene Ellis.
