Willie Lee Vogel, Jr., age 84, of New Braunfels, passed away on November 4, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Willie was born on December 7, 1930 to Willie, Sr. and Hilda (Grimm) Vogel in Seguin, Texas. After graduating from Seguin High School in 1948, Willie joined the United States Army where he served in the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart and numerous other medals. Upon his honorable discharge, Lee returned to the Seguin and New Braunfels area where he worked for and eventually retired from Mission Valley Mills. Lee is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Victoria "Vickie" Vogel. He is survived by his son, Donny Dale Vogel, as well as numerous other loving family members. Memorial contributions may be made to any military charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Village For their kind and caring manner in which they took care of their "Uncle Lee".
