Obituary

Wilma Lou Dietz Cox Bowen, age 86 of Paris, Texas formerly of Seguin, Texas passed away on April 25, 2015. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will follow at 2 p.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Wilma Lou, also affectionately known to family and friends as "Dunnie", was born in Guadalupe County on November 15, 1928 to Jesse and Dora (Jahns) Dietz. She will be remembered as a longtime employee of Southwestern Bell and RW Cox Inc. In retirement she enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes and cards, fishing and shelling, and creating shell designs at Bonita Springs Shell Club. She is preceded in death by her first husband Ray Cox, her parents, her young sisters, her brother, Jesse Dietz, Jr. and her niece Georgette Hawkins. Survivors include her loving husband James "Jim" Bowen; sons, Ronnie Cox and wife Alicia, and Jon Cox; grandchildren, Emily Waggoner and husband Jake, Jay, Kimberly, Blake and Colby Cox; great-grandson, Finley Waggoner; nephew, James "Fella" Dietz and wife Linda; nephew-in-law, Bobby Hawkins and wife Mary Jo; sisters-in-law, Floylene Dietz, Janet Cole and Shirley Cox; brother-in-law, Keith Smith; many great-nieces, great-nephews, other loving family members and loyal friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
