Yun Cha (Kim) Wiseman age 79 of La Vernia, Texas, the daughter of To Su Kim and Chan Eup (Jin) Kim was born June 16, 1938 at Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, and died peacefully at home in La Vernia, Texas July 12, 2017. Yun Cha grew up in the countryside in Yeondo-ri, Nam-myeon, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. She enjoyed spending time with her grandmother who taught her how to cook her delicious recipes. On August 3, 1959, she married Paul Melvin Wiseman in Seoul, Korea. Three children blessed this union, Paul, Paula, and Daryl. Kim, as her family knew her, was an adoring mother and grandmother – supportive, encouraging, and generous. Few people know that she enjoyed watching CSI, the San Antonio Spurs, NFL football, and PGA golf. She also loved cooking, gardening and sharing her bounty of produce, jellies, and preserves. She treasured visiting with family and friends. She never met a stranger, and could see the good in every person. Kim always had a smile, and a true heart of gold. In addition to her husband Paul of 54 years, her parents, brother, and three sisters, two nieces predeceased her: Laura Johnston, Laurraine Kuster, and nephew Michael Wiseman, and all of her loving sisters- and brothers-in-law. Survivors include her three children: Paul Wiseman (Marlene) of Seminole, Florida; Paula (Anthony) Passione of La Vernia, Texas and Daryl Wiseman of McQueeney, Texas; four grandsons: Aaron Wiseman (Natalie) of Safety Harbor, Florida; Kyle Wiseman (Victoria) of Hedgesville, West Virginia; Joshua, and Cody Passione of La Vernia, Texas; two great-grandchildren: Teryn Wiseman and Kyle Wiseman Jr., and many nieces and nephews. The family extends their appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and staff of San Antonio Military Medical Center, and the exceptional caregivers Lisa Woods, RN and Chaplain Dexter Brown of Interim Hospice of San Antonio. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice, 6800 Park Ten Suite 270 West, San Antonio, TX 78213.
